We’ve all been there. Restless nights, lack of sleep, no time for regular exercise; these are all factors that can create a negative impact on our daily lives. Made from valerian, Kira Restful Sleep is a traditional herbal medicine (THR), used historically as an aid to a good night’s sleep, particularly if the cause of your occasional sleeplessness is mild anxiety. Use in conjunction with sound "sleep hygiene" and tried and tested relaxation techniques.

Good "sleep hygiene" practice is important to help promote the best quality night-time sleep, and prepare us for full day-time alertness. Good sleep hygiene practices include: no napping during the day, avoiding stimulants like caffeine, nicotine and alcohol before bedtime, undertaking some form of exercise during the day, but not less than 2 hours before bedtime, avoid eating immediately before bedtime, and trying to adopt a relaxing bedtime routine when possible, including no screen time for 2 hours before bedtime!

Kira Restful sleep is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the relief of temporary sleep disturbances due to symptoms of mild anxiety based on traditional use only.

Getting enough sleep is vital for our long-term health and wellbeing. In fact it’s so important that we actually spend around a third of our lives in bed. Sleep is a necessary part of life - no animal is known not to sleep in some way.

Loss of sleep, which can be difficulty falling asleep, waking up in the night, or waking too early, can be caused by many things and will affect the majority of people at some time in their lives.

In today’s world, everyday worries such as job stress, concerns about the kids and money problems can cause anyone a sleepless night, which can often add to the original problem. Other causes include health problems and some prescription drugs (if you feel this is the case, speak to your GP).

Taking Kira Restful Sleep

Many of us have problems sleeping every now and again. Sleep disturbances can be caused by a wide variety of factors but mild anxiety is a common cause.

Not getting a good nights sleep may lead to irritability and lack of concentration and have a negative impact on our daily lives.

Kira Restful sleep is a traditional herbal remedy used for the temporary relief of sleep disturbances due to symptoms of mild anxiety.

Kira Restful sleep contains valerian, a herb that grows in North America and Europe, and has small pink flowers (these flowers were used as a perfume in the 16th century).

Valerian has traditionally been used to treat occasional sleep disturbances and mild anxiety for thousands of years; ¬ the ancient Greeks and Romans swore by it.

To get the best out of a valerian product, it needs to have been made from the highest quality plants. The ones we select for Kira Restful sleep are cultivated in the optimum conditions and have to meet our strict growing criteria. This high degree of care ensures the berries of the plants are harvested at their absolute peak of ripeness and produce the highest yield of active ingredient.

After gently drying the fruit to preserve this active ingredient, we use state of the art processing methods to extract, purify and measure it. This means you can be confident you will get exactly the same dose every time.

Each Kira Restful sleep tablet contains 300mg of extract ( as dry extract ) from Valerian root (valeriana officinalis L.) (3-6:1) (equivalent to 900 - 1800 mg of valerian root).

Take 1-2 tablets half an hour before bedtime. If necessary, you can take an additional dose earlier in the evening. You should swallow the tablets whole with water or other liquid, and do not chew.

Warning do not exceed the stated dose. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18 years of age or already taking a medicine for sleep or anxiety. If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 4 weeks a doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner should be consulted.

Always read the label. For more information consult the Patient Information Leaflet.
